Since the 1940s, Steve’s family has dedicated their work to building homes. These are not just houses, but places where people make memories. Steve worked with his father at the Yeonas Company, and he went on to found Yeonas and Ellis. His expertise as a Founding Partner at Artisan Builders is in defining and bringing a client’s vision to life. He collaborates with each client to learn what their dream home looks like, then he works closely with the architect to turn that into reality.

Mitch grew up steeped in the building industry. His father, Marshall Racoosin, founded Associated Custom Builders in 1959, and Mitch later took over ownership of that company, building over 100 custom homes in the area. As a Founding Partner of Artisan Builders, Mitch is closely involved in the design and architecture of each project, and his long-standing relationships with skilled contractors fuel an elevated level of craftsmanship. He can often be found on-site, ensuring that the highest standards of quality and design are met.

With a background in civil engineering, Richard joined the Yeonas Company in 1980. Yeonas & Ellis was then founded in 1995, with Richard and Steve working together on construction and development projects. Today, as a Founding Partner of Artisan Builders, Richard works side-by-side with contracted engineers and architects to ensure seamless development of plans. He’s involved in land development and ensuring all technical requirements and processes are met.

Named after his grandfather, the founder of Associated Custom Builders, Marshall has been immersed in the construction industry from a young age, spending summers as a laborer and gaining invaluable hands-on experience that informs his approach today. As a project manager, he leverages this in-the-field knowledge to oversee the day-to-day construction process, collaborating closely with clients and subcontractors to ensure that every project meets the highest standards from inception to completion. Marshall represents Artisan Builders in the exclusive Builder 20 Club, a distinguished group of the nation’s top custom homebuilders. His passion for building as a science drives him to make informed, critical decisions throughout the construction process, and he shares his insights and expertise through an institutional video series on Instagram, where he has cultivated a substantial following.

Nicholas is a lifelong construction enthusiast with a deep appreciation for architecture and history. Originally trained as an engineer, he transitioned from designing to hands-on building, bringing expertise in both residential and commercial projects. As part of the Artisan team, Nicholas guides clients through the process of envisioning their dream home renovation. He focuses on understanding each client's unique lifestyle needs, educating them on the nuances of restoration and renovation, and skillfully balancing historical significance with modern conveniences.
